How Stockton Roofing Expert Works
One phone call, one local roofer, one free estimate. Here's the whole process, start to finish.
Not ready to talk yet?
Leave your name, number and the kind of roof work. A local roofer may call or text you about it.
Or call (209) 420-1355
The five steps
- You call (209) 420-1355. The call is free.
- You describe the roof. Say what you're seeing, the roof type (tile, shingle or flat), your ZIP code and how soon you need help.
- You're connected with a local roofer. We pass your request to an independent roofing business that works in the Stockton area.
- The roofer gives you a free estimate. Most roofers want to see the roof before they put a price in writing.
- You decide. There's no obligation. You can get other bids and choose whoever you trust most.
Calls are recorded for quality and training.
What to have ready
- Your address or cross streets, and whether you're in Stockton city limits, the county or another city like Lodi or Manteca. Each one has its own permit office.
- The roof type and rough age, if you know it.
- Photos from the ground of any damage, stains on ceilings or missing tiles.
- Whether you have solar panels on the roof. Panels change the plan and the price.
- Whether an HOA or a historic district review applies to your home.
What a good estimate visit looks like
A good roofer gets on the roof or uses a drone, takes photos, and shows you what they found. They explain your options in plain words, including repair when repair makes sense. You get a written bid that lists the work, the materials, the permit, cleanup and the warranty.
Before you sign, look up the roofer's license on the Contractors State License Board's license check. Our license check guide walks you through it.
Prefer not to call?
Use the quote request form. Send your name, phone number and the kind of roof work. A local roofer may call or text you about your request. If water is coming in right now, calling is faster.
If something goes wrong
Talk to the roofer first and keep everything in writing. If that doesn't fix it, you can file a complaint with the Contractors State License Board, which handles complaints against California contractors. You can also contact the California Attorney General's consumer complaint office.
We don't do the work and can't vouch for any roofer's work, but we want to know when a referral goes badly.
